Who runs this site, and why it exists

Flight schools price the same certificate in different ways, and few put their rates next to anyone else's. This site does, from each school's own pages, with the fuel and the hours spelled out.

Who runs it

Private Pilot License Cost Compared is operated by PALM ICON LLC in Miami, Florida. It is an independent site. No listed vendor owns it, pays to be listed, or reviews what we write about them before it is published.

What we did

On October 4, 2026 we read the public pages of 24 flight schools and recorded what each says about price and fees. Every listing links to the pages we read.

What we did not do

We did not request quotes, call schools or fly with them. We have not tested any school, we say nothing about safety or quality of instruction, and nothing here is a recommendation to train at one.

How the site is paid for

Some links may become affiliate links, marked as sponsored in the page code and disclosed on the affiliate disclosure page. Whether a school or course provider has a program does not decide whether it is listed, where it appears or what we say about it.

If we got something wrong

Tell us and we will check it against the school's page and fix it. The process and a log of corrections are on the corrections page.
