Dragonfly Aviation
Diamond and Cirrus flight school at Winder airport in Georgia with a pay-as-you-go rate sheet.
Winder, Georgia (KWDR). Part 61 or Part 141 is not stated on the pages we read.
What sets it apart
Puts a membership price next to the hourly rate: $500 a year takes $15 off each single-engine hour, so the membership pays for itself after about 34 hours of flying.
What the page prints
Diamond DA20 at $155 an hour, DA40 at $220, instruction $60 to $100 an hour.
Taken from the school's own page. The page does not say whether fuel is included. We do not guess. The page shows no date.
| Item | Per hour | Note |

One dual hour
$215 to $255 per hour. Diamond DA20 at $155 plus instruction at $60 to $100. This adds the two published rates. It is not a quote, and it is not like for like with schools that include different things.
Fees and terms the page names
- Club program: $50 a month or $500 a year, saves $15 an hour on single-engine rentals and $20 an hour on multi-engine rentals
- Discovery flights: $89 (DA20), $139 (DA40), $199 (SR20)
- Multi-engine add-on package $6,000 (10 hours in a DA42, 1 hour in the simulator, ground instruction)
- Simulator: $375 a year or $35 an hour
Students who expect to fly often and want the lower member rate in a Diamond DA20.
You want one instructor rate and a stated wet or dry basis.
Watch out for
- The Cirrus SR20 line shows $275 with no "per hour" label.
- Instructor rates appear as ranges ($60 to $100) without saying what sets the rate.
- The page does not say whether aircraft rates include fuel.
